Surface Area Maps for Insect Pest Forecasts, Risk Warnings, and Surveys

Surface area maps for insect pest forecasts, risk warnings, and surveys are generated from survey data using Geographic Information Software (GIS).  Since techniques used to smooth the transition between zones can affect the values in localized areas, these maps should be interpreted on a regional level only.
